RGV Devs: A .NET User Group for the RGV
I've been building things with .NET for over 20 years and I still get genuinely excited talking about the framework, and why I've been doing exactly that at the Cyber RGV monthly meetups for the past several months. Those sessions have been a blast, and somewhere along the way I convinced myself that the RGV deserves its own dedicated .NET developer community. So that's what I'm trying to build with RGV Devs Dot Net.
Starting a tech community in this area is, historically speaking, an uphill battle (Anybody remember CodeRGV?). I knew that going in, but I also think there are more developers out here who love this stuff than the usual turnout at these things would suggest. People who maybe just haven't had a reason to show up yet. The goal with RGV Devs is to give them one: a space to learn, share, and build things together, with a specific focus on the .NET ecosystem and everything it can do that people don't always realize it can do.
The first official session is a week from today — April 14 — at the McAllen Public Library, and we're kicking it off with a deep dive into building an AI brand engine with .NET and MAF, which I previewed at last month's Cyber RGV session. Whether you caught that talk or are coming in fresh, there'll be plenty to dig into. I'd love to see you there — RSVP and get the details here:

And regardless of how the turnout goes, I'll keep writing about .NET here — new posts, upcoming events, things I'm building and learning along the way. If you want to stay in the loop, subscribe here and you'll hear about it when it happens.
